Tour

overview:

Abel Tasman Water & Walk with half-day Kayak is a fantastic adventure where you explore the best of the park from both land and sea.

Your guide meets you at your accommodation before driving to the start of your Abel Tasman adventure. Board our comfortable catamaran at beautiful Kaiteriteri beach, following the coast and pausing at Split Apple Rock/Tokongawhā on our way to the golden sands of Observation Beach where our kayaks await.

Here, your fun, cruisy and enjoyable kayak leg begins. Heading across the Astrolabe Roadstead, a safe channel of water named by early explorer Dumont d'Urville, we'll kayak the coastline of Adele Island/Motuareronui. You'll hear the chorus of birdsong ringing through the treetops long before you reach this predator-free wildlife sanctuary, home to flourishing wildlife including playful New Zealand fur seals (Kekeno) as they bask on the rocks and dive into the sea.

On returning to the beach, your guide leads you along the stunning coastal track of Abel Tasman towards Anchorage. We'll chat about the birdlife, massive ferns, and regenerating forests before magnificent views emerge as we make our way north to once again meet the boat for the return cruise back to Kaiteriteri.

Highlights:
Catamaran cruise past iconic Split Apple Rock/Tokongawhā
2-hour kayaking around Adele Island/Motuareronui predator-free sanctuary
Encounter playful New Zealand fur seals (Kekeno) and birdsong chorus
Guided coastal track hike through regenerating forests with massive ferns
Stunning views along the Abel Tasman track to Anchorage
Triple adventure: explore by boat, kayak, and foot in one unforgettable day

Fantastic and magical day in Abel!

It was such a fantastic and most beautiful day in Abel. Alan is the most funny and informative guide I ever had! I had a wonderful time hiking and taking the cruise with this small group day trip from Nelson. Highly recommend if you are a solo traveller like me.

An absolute must do in Nelson

From start to finish this was an absolutely brilliant experience that we would highly
recommend to anyone who is considering it. Not just a wine tour but a trip around the local area and waterfront. Our driver, Sonia was a wealth of knowledge about the area and the vineyards we visited. Very friendly, easy going and nothing was a problem. Small groups are always the best way to go.

Great day in Golden Bay

This is a very valuable excursion because it gives you a taste of lots of the elements that define this region. Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide who was refreshingly
enthusiastic and accommodating.

If there is one tour you should go on while in Nelson, this is it!

The full day Abel Tasman cruise and hike. Personalised, knowledgeable, and enjoyable. From the moment of pick-up, to cruising the Abel Tasman coast, then a hike to other beaches - learning about the plants and trees, a stop for a fabulous lunch, and a cruise and
drive back. All wrapped up with a terrific guide and host! Thank you Wayne. Truly 5-star!! Outstanding day. Highly recommend

Zane was the ideal guide for our day trip exploring this area rich with vineyards, art galleries and nature at its best. Informative and personable, we have every confidence in this business and all they offer.
